B a c k g r o u n d
Is half Japanese and Half Korean.
She is the youngest of three in a well off family. She was always given everything she wanted. But even though she always got what she wanted she was never truly happy. When she first started singing, she was very shy an did not perform publicly. She only ever performed for family and close friends. One day, her best friend submitted Sayuri into a talent search competition, and she won. She was debuted with her first single "Payback" she wrote about her ex-boyfriend. When she was offered a contract with one of the major labels in Korea, she accepted right away. Two weeks after leaving her home in Okinawa Japan to go to Seoul Korea, her brother, a famous studio recorder, was injured in a freak accident, and she had to leave the offer to return home. He died shortly after leaving everything he owned to her. Along with all of his assets he left her a letter reading:

Sayu-chan,
I hope that you won't ever have to read this, but if you are, know that I love you. You are my baby sister and you are the sole reason I went into the music scene. I was waiting for you to make your debut in Japan, but you chose Korea. I am not saying that I am disappointed in you, because I am not. But please don't give up your dream. I love you Sayu.

Deciding to live her life for her brother she left home. She looks to the stars to be reminded of her beloved Oppa.
